Linda Sawyer

BNursing, GradDip Sleep Medicine

Director, CPAP Consultant, Sleep Scientist
Linda is our senior scientist, she graduated in 2002 from the University of Western Sydney and 2008 from the University of Sydney and is a current member of the Australasian Sleep Association.

Linda has an extensive work background in Nursing, Sleep Medicine and CPAP Education. Not only does she work at Bendigo Sleep Lab, she is also a guest speaker at La Trobe University and various other organisations around Central Victoria.

Linda loves her kids and four wheel driving. She often is a volunteer medic at four wheel driving competitions around Australia.

Natalie Pournaris

BSc. GradDip RSc. M RSc.

Sleep Scientist
Natalie graduated from Monash University, Victoria in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. She went on to complete a Graduate Diploma and Masters Degree by research in 2000, her published thesis investigating autonomic versus cortical indices of disturbed sleep in children and adults with obstructive sleep apnoea.

Natalie has extensive experience in both clinical and research areas of respiratory and sleep medicine, working with both children and adults with sleep/respiratory disorders for over 14 years. Natalie is published in numerous medical journals and has also attended and presented her research at several scientific meetings in the field of sleep medicine.

Natalie has two adorable kids of her own, is passionate about her dogs and has a side interest in reproductive and obstetric medicine.

Vikas Wadhwa


Consultant Respiratory and Sleep Physician
Vikas obtained his undergraduate medical degree from the University of Queensland and then his FRACP and advanced training in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine in Sydney. He has been a practicing clinician in Internal Medicine, Respiratory and Sleep since 1998. He has been an educator, researcher, an examiner for the college of physicians and is now Director of General Medicine at Maroondah Hospital, Eastern Health in Melbourne. Vikas completed an Executive MBA from the University of Melbourne in 2015 and is now pursuing his PhD (part time) in Respiratory Medicine.

Vikas is published in numerous medical journals and has also attended and presented his research at several scientific meetings in the field of sleep medicine.

Vikas has a keen eye for detail, loves to travel and enjoys spending time with his family.

Maddie Fauser

Cert III Business

Sleep Technician and CPAP Therapist
Maddie started with Bendigo Sleep Lab at the beginning of 2015. She has an experienced medical receptionist background coming from the Obstetrics and Gynaecological field. Maddie has completed Basic Neurophysiology & Neurochemistry of Sleep and the Fundamentals of Sleep Medicine course at the University of Sydney in 2015. She is keen to learn how to score sleep and continues her studies in Sleep Medicine.

Maddie loves camping, fishing, spending time with her partner and fur babies and is currently renovating her 1st home!

Rhonda Kelly

GradDip Legal Practice, LLB, RPSGT, Grad Cert Paediatric Sleep Science, BSc

Sleep Scientist
Rhonda has an extensive background in sleep medicine, with national and international experience in adult and paediatric sleep, diagnosing and treating a range of sleep disorders. She has been a clinical trials coordinator and been involved with equipment validations and cutting edge laboratory research.

Rhonda does voluntary legal work and enjoys camping, cooking, painting and spending time with her partner. Her passion in life is travel. She originally came to Bendigo to complete her legal placement but the lure of a tall, dark and handsome man has kept her here.

Tim Blythman

BE (Hons), BSc

Sleep Tech
Tim started at the Bendigo Sleep Lab in January 2014 after trying his hand at many different jobs, including Spray Dryer Operator, Tram Driver and Electronics Salesman. Despite being new to the field of Sleep Medicine, Tim has learnt quickly from Linda and Rhonda.

Tim spends most of his spare time reading books about sleep and keeping Ketut at bay.

Sandi Sawyer

Sandi has recently joined our team. She likes swimming, eating, sleeping and struggles with memory. Did you know that Sandi is one of the slowest swimming goldfish species due to it’s physical characteristics. Come say hello to Sandi, she is very friendly but will forget your name in 3seconds.
